Day 33-Moonlight Pics

I love the shadowing from the branches of this tree in our back yard. I am so in love with the moon and my tri-pod now!!! I just can't wait until it gets warmer. My fingers were so frozen after this, I couldn't even take my camera off off the tri-pod...Brrrrrr!!!
Shadow of my camera (and the bottom of the tri-pod's leg) taking THIS pic. I had no problem getting out of the pic as I had a 10 second shutter speed.
Row of pine trees between our house and our neighbors. We need more trees!!!
I like that you can see stars in the sky. This is compositionally a really crappy pic, I really don't know what I was thinking, but the stars are cute, don't ya think?
The grasses around our pond.

I took some fun pics today, but they won't post until tomorrow morning, but I DID go out tonight and brave the BITTER cold to take some more moonlight pics (for Meredith). I have decided that I will need to work with a flashlight from now on as it is really, really, really hard to focus in the dark and forget about auto focus, it's more confused than I am. Here is the result of about 12 minutes worth of shooting, freezing and really long exposures. I am going to try some more tomorrow, but I am going to get Mark to go with me and assist me at Kensington, that should be beautiful in the moonlight. Yay...I love today!!!
Until Tomorrow,
Shirley

I appreciate you doing it though even though it's so darn cold! What an artist does for their art, right???

  2. Very nice.I like the pond area. I'll bet if you take a heat gun or a blow dryer you could make a really cool window but I'll just bet since its so cold the fish wont know your there, maybe not.
