Day 42

This is where Mark and I have our morning coffee in the spring and summer...looks like it will be awhile...
Pine cone on our neighbors tree.
Our neighbor's Scotch Pine after the big snow. These trees line the property between our house and our neighbors. They want to cut them down, that would be a bummer, they are beautiful.
A view of our waterfall after the big snow. Gorgeous.
Angel garden ornament in our yard.
Shaddy showing me just how deep the snow is.
At this point, Shaddy was telling me to throw the ball, I did and it disappeared...bummer Shaddy!!!
The yard at 9am the next morning...
The shell table at 9am the next morning...
Day 42
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
-Robert Brault
I love this quote, how true it is. I miss the snow days when the kids were little and Mark would plow a GIANT hill (or mountain as the kids called it) in our front yard for all day sledding, snowboarding, snowmen and snowball fights...the kids' friends would come and we would have hot chocolate and junk food and IT WAS FUN!!! They seemed like little things at the time, but I long for those moments now. The kids are off doing their own thing most of the time and I miss them. I now get to have snow days with the dogs...fun, but obviously, not the same. Guess we will wait for grand kids...did I just say that??? Today was a major snow day, Sebby was happy to have all of that fresh powder to board on, but Mark's man made snow mountain no longer makes the cut, now it's Mt. Holly, Mt. Brighton or Alpine and Boyne!!! Zack was bummed his classes didn't get cancelled and Mark was up for 20 hours straight, poor baby. I got to go with him on a few jobs and then we had the pleasure of plowing out some elderly neighbors and of course, Janel!!! Snow is beautiful and so are the memories. I love my life today!!!
Until Tomorrow,
Shirley
